近日,汤森路透(Thomson Reuters )旗下的 ScienceWatch 网站,以论文的引用次数为依据,盘点了2012年度最热门科学家以及最热门研究论文。值得一提的是,今年总共有6名华人学者上榜,分别为中科院金属研究所研究员成会明博士、武汉理工大学的余家国教授、中科院化学研究所的李永舫博士,以及英国布鲁奈尔大学的王子栋教授、复旦大学的丁莉博士、王俊博士。

 

2012科研热点主要集中在四个方面:1上帝粒子;2基因组学与生物医学;3材料研究;4大数据研究。

 

2012年度最热门科学人物主要依据"高引用率论文"的数量确定。在入围榜单中,基因组学领域研究人员占了相当大的一部分,其中最炙手可热的人物是华盛顿大学医学院的 Richard Wilson。Wilson在2010~2012年期间总共有15篇高引用率的文章。他领导的研究小组参与了千人基因组计划,并在《自然》(Nature)杂志上发表了题为"A Map of Human Genome Variation from Population-scale Sequencing"的文章。

 

大名鼎鼎的 Broad 研究院院长Eric Lander也榜上有名。他也是"A Map of Human Genome Variation from Population-scale Sequencing"的文章的作者之一,此外还有12篇高引用率的文章,包括卵巢癌、血液癌和脑癌等方面的基因组研究。

 

deCODE Genetics总裁 Kari Stefansson 卷土重来,在上一份报告跌出榜单之后今年又一跃成为最热门的科学家。他在2012年有13篇文章,聚焦帕金森氏病、精神分裂症和阿尔茨海默病的基因组研究。

 

除了这些赫赫有名的人物,今年也有一些新面孔上榜。华盛顿大学 Richard Wilson 团队还有3人上榜,分别是 Elaine Mardis、丁莉 和 Robert Fulton。他们参与了千人基因组计划,另外还有2篇文章跻身热门文章。密歇根大学的生物统计学家Goncalo Abecasis 除参与千人基因组计划外,近日也发表了一系列文章,报道GWAS 研究糖尿病、体重指数(BMI)和心血管疾病风险的结果。

 

据介绍,早前毕业于复旦大学的丁莉博士成功领导了肺腺癌的基因组学研究,并确定了导致肺癌的关键基因和通路。她还与其他同事一起分析了一位白血病患者的肿瘤和皮肤基因组,这也是第一个完全测序并进行分析的癌症基因组。
